Reba A. (Childers) Clotfelter

November 19, 1941 ~ December 6, 2017 (age 76)

Reba Childers Clotfelter passed away on Dec. 6, 2017 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy (Harris) and Robert Childers; Sisters Robbie Thrash and Brenda Hester.

Reba began her work career at the VA in Atlanta and 3rd US Army, Fort McPherson GA. After living in Atlanta and Nashville she and her family moved to Ringgold her hometown. At that time she began work for RTC Communications from which she retired.

Reba is survived by her husband of 56 years Larry Clotfelter, daughter Carey E. Clotfelter Vess (Eddie) of Ringgold, sons Dan Clotfelter (Emily) of Chattanooga and Rob Clotfelter (Crystal) of Indianapolis. Brothers Ronald “Yogi” Childers (Gail) of Chattanooga, Harris Childers (Beverly) of Ringgold and Sister Theresa McKamey (David) of Ringgold. Brother-n-law Roger Hester. Grandchildren Brandon, Megan, Sara, Jessica, Jordan Vess of Ringgold, Elijah and Magdalene Clotfelter of Indianapolis. Great Grandchildren are Joel Vess, Cameron Craton, Juliana Hernandez, Jaynie Vess, Sadie Craton, Harlow Vess and Chandler Waters.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Sunday December 10, 2017 from 3:30 – 5:30 at Ringgold First Baptist Fellowship Hall. Pastor Eric Kennedy will begin at 3:30 directing her celebration of life. All family and friends are requested to attend for food and fellowship afterwards. Come rejoice with us.
