I first got to know Randy in junior high. I pretty much idolized him. Always a nice guy, good-looking, great athlete and generally great to hang out with. We lost touch over the years after I moved away. So sad to hear of his passing.

I went to Jr high and high school with Randy the main thing I remember was that although he was a dynamic and tough athlete he was also always very kind and considerate at 62 there aren’t a lot of vivid memories from half a century ago but the first time I met Randy is one that sticks it was after jr high football practice sitting on the lawn in front of the stadium waiting on our parents to pick us up he was wearing a necklace with one large shark tooth I thought that was the coolest I had never seen a shark tooth and he was as cool as his necklace he was a good friend in those days and I know he was a great man and Dad Blessings to all the family this is Les McCurdy Sarasota Fl www.mccurdyscomedy.com please say hello if any of you are in Sarasota
