Mary Kathryn Yates Jordan Colburn, 92, of Ringgold was welcomed into Heaven on January 28, 2018. She was born to the late Joe and Myrtle Williams Yates and has been a resident of Ringgold her entire life. She was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church.

Mother was a retired school teacher having taught in Catoosa County for 25 years. She went back to school and graduated from Ringgold High School after marrying and having 3 children. She then continued her education by getting her degree from the University of Chattanooga. From there, she taught school and got her masters by going during her summer breaks.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Linda J. Sigette, Tommy L. Jordan and Elaine J. (Michael) Scott; sister, Sally Akins and brother, Robert Yates, all of Ringgold

Graveside services will be held 3 PM Wednesday at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ron Ingram officiating.
