Loyd “Buddy” Murdock, 89, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 24, 2017.

He was a native of Sylvania Alabama a son of the late Madison and Charlsie Bishop Murdock and was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army.

He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and retired from Standard Coosa Thatcher after 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his brother, Hubert Murdock.

Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years Mazell Murdock; son, Rickey (Sue) Murdock; daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Harris; grandchildren, Rickey Murdock, Jr, Shelley Green, Jeff Black and Shane Harris; and great grandchildren, Garret Black, Dalton Green, Zach Murdock, Brady Green, Zane Murdock, Stone Harris and Hudson Harris.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Ricky Gravley and Dalton Green officiating.

Interment will be in Unity Cemetery in Sylvania Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 110 Talley Avenue, Rossville, GA 30741.
