Katherine Bare Cely, 92 of Chattanooga passed away Thursday May 24, 2017. She was a member of Crosspath of East Ridge, formerly East Ridge Baptist where she volunteered in the church library. Kay had worked for EPB in Chattanooga. She loved caring for her dogs and enjoyed cross stitching. Kay was the daughter of the late Jasper M. and Wilma Vesta Hinds Bare. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Willis Cely.

Survivors include her two first cousins, Helen Bare Thigpen, of Birmingham, AL and Dorothy Bare Colston, of Murfreesboro, TN; several other cousins also survive and members of the deaf community within her circle.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM Saturday at Forest Hills Cemetery with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating.
