Norma Jean “Jeanie” Dietz, 91, of Ringgold, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at her residence.  She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and has lived on Dietz Road for the past 60 years.  She was a member of the Clearview Baptist Church and attended the Faith Sunday school class and taught the Beginners Sunday School class for many years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents:  father:  L. T. Grant, Sr., and mother Gladys Hughes Grant, and her best friend:  Burnease Huskey. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years:  O. C. Dietz;  two daughters:  Sherri Germann, Hixson, TN  and Reita Winters, Chattanooga;  2 grandchildren:  Traci West, East Ridge and Kaci Clayton, Chattanooga and 3 great-grandchildren:  Jordan West, Skye and Meg Clayton, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, at the Clearview Baptist Church with  Rev. Herman Kapherr officiating.  The body will lie in state at the church for 12 noon to 1 PM Saturday,  prior to the service.   Interment will be in the Dietz Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Friday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
