Doris Lorena Sissom, 93, of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 28, 2017.  Doris enjoyed volunteering her time at Parkridge Medical Center for many years.  She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, cooking, and having pool parties.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years J.C. Sissom.

Survivors are her son, Jimmy Sissom, Fort Oglethorpe, granddaughter Ashley (Joel) Rodriguez, Chattanooga, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brian Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
