Every year on our birthday a toast will be made to you. Such an incredible man inside and out. It was my pleasure and honor to be one of the millions of BMX kids that you touched and inspired. Such an awesome family. Love you guys.

I"m sad to hear that Don has passed, however I am truly grateful that he was a big part of my life as a BMX racer and beyond.
I met Don and his family when our SE team came to Ft. Lauderdale back in 1978, and he (and the family) have been in my life ever since. Don was a tireless man who always made sure things were taken care of, and that he represented the SE brand properly in everything he did. He looked after my teammates and myself in so many ways. I loved when we rolled into town and there was always a "Welcome SE Team" banner on display at his home or on his van. He made sure we got to the races on time, and our bikes were dialed in. He made sure both of his kids (John and Bonnie) had whatever they needed to perform at their best. And both of them performed at a high level.
When my racing days were over Don stayed in touch, and when Facebook got popular our relationship got rekindled. He would send private messages whenever he felt the need, and I knew what was going on with him.
My heartfelt condolences to the entire Hutelin family. A sincere "Ride in Peace" (because Don rarely rested) to the CEO of Hutelin Racing. May your spirit soar on my friend. I am honored to be a friend of your family.
