Clinton J. Schmitt, Jr. 92, of Ringgold passed away Friday, December 15, 2017. He was a life-long resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia area. Mr. Schmitt was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ringgold and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps serving during World War II. Mr. Schmitt was retired from TVA.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Ann Young Schmitt; daughters, Varen (Mike) Thacker, Ringgold and Vonya (Dan) Drinnon, Ooltewah; son, Clint (Colleen) Schmitt, Ooltewah; sisters, Grace Denton, Donna Wooden, Martha Sandidge, all of the Chattanooga area; grandchildren, Jarrett, Aaron, Mitchell, Rebecca and David; great-grandchildren, Neva and Johnscott; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be conducted 12 Noon Thursday, December 21 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Dan Whitaker and Rev. Eric Kennedy officiating.
