Barney J. “Buddy” Callahan, Jr., 79, of Rossville, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in a local hospital.  He was the founder of Callahan Mechanical Contractors and attended Peavine Baptist Church, and the New Beginnings Sunday School Class.

He is survived by a son:  Rod (Karen) Callahan, Ringgold, and daughter:  Stacey (Shane) O’Neal, Rossville, and a brother:  Billy Callahan, LaFayette, and grandchildren:  Erin Jones,  Chris (Abby) Callahan, Camry (Joseph) Ridge, Chelsea O’Neal and Sydney O’Neal, and great-grandchildren:  Makenna Jones, Max Jones, Callee Ridge and Lucy Callahan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jimmy  Spurling officiating.  Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
